Charles Ross
Born in England, lived on the west coast of Scotland from the age of nine. He studied violin and piano at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music in Glasgow and along with his music studies he played the electric guitar in the rock band Blue Bells. At the age of eighteen Ross attended Dartington College of Art in England and studied with Frank Denyer who was a great influenced on him. In Dartington Ross also got to know the American composer Morton Feldman. Charles Ross moved to Iceland 1986 and lives in the east of the country. He has been active in the music scene with teaching, research and composition. He is a member of Stelkur contemporary music group.
